The calculation of your pension changed in April 2016. If you were an active member at this time, then your pension accrued up to April 2016 was converted to your Past Service Percentage.
However, if you left the Scheme prior to this date, then your pension at your date of leaving would have been calculated as follows:
- 1/50th of your final Pensionable Earnings up to national average earnings, plus
- 1/60th of your final Pensionable Earnings above national average earnings.
These two amounts were added together and then multiplied by your Pensionable Service. The State Pension adjustment was then made to allow for the basic State Pension.
