Death benefits

No-one likes to think about what will happen to their dependants if they die, but it is unfortunately a necessary detail. The Scheme provides various benefits under different circumstances – please click here to find out more information.

Important - if you are an active member and joined the Scheme after 1st September 2012, you must provide information on any pre-existing medical conditions to be covered by the Scheme's death in service and ill health benefits. You can check if you are covered by looking at your most recent benefit statement or by calling the team on 0800 090 2267(+44 (0)20 7636 8111 from outside the UK). If you're not covered, you can find out what you need to do by clicking here.

If you have not nominated any beneficiaries (i.e. the person or people who you would wish to receive any benefits when you die), or if your nomination needs to be updated, you can update your beneficiary details via your secure online account. Please click here to log in. If you can't remember your password and/or memorable word click on 'Forgotten your login details?'.  Once logged in click on 'My account' then 'Nomination' and you will be able to add your beneficiary details. If you have not yet accessed your online account and do not have login details, please call the team on 0800 090 2267 and they will be able to help you. Alternatively, you can complete a Nomination form. It is important that you keep this information up to date.
